Kinloch Golf Club Enhancement Project - Week 12 Update

Friday, July 5th, Kinloch Golf Club, in conjunction with Landscapes Unlimited, began our summer-long, facility enhancement project. As we travel through the project, please check in for weekly blog posts which will update our progress.

This is the 12th week update and next to last post before we re-open next Wednesday, October 2nd 2019.

As we draw to the close of our 95th day, we could not be more excited about welcoming our membership to return and play golf at Kinloch Golf Club!!

For our (almost) final blog (regarding our course enhancements), I thought a pictorial tour would be best. While we continue to address the smallest details throughout the property, the course is ready for play!!! And we wish you guys the very best when you peg it next week!! Enjoy the photos below!

Kinloch Golf Club Enhancement Project - Week 11 Update

This is the 11th Week Update!! Sodding is complete!!!

37 acres of grass... stripped, prepped and installed...Turf Install is Complete!!!

Final grooming begins tomorrow!!

Kinloch Golf Club Enhancement Project - Week 10 Update

Thanks for all of your support as we are very excited about this project and the product we will offer this coming fall!!!

This is the 10th Week Update!! Sod prep is nearly complete and sodding has now eclipsed 30 acres!!!

In our last update, we reported that we had laid over 19 acres of sod. Since that post, over the past 8 days, we have installed another 11 acres of turf. I cannot say enough about all of the teams involved. The productivity has been unreal!!

We always knew that holes 10-13 would be our biggest challenge with respect to stripping and sodding. They have the most Bermuda contamination and across those three golf holes, we eradicated nearly all of the primary rough. And although the pace is still frantic, we are happy to report that holes 10-12 are complete and 13 and 14 are nearly done. In addition, the strip and prep operation is nearly finished with #18. Our pace continues to be excellent!!

In a project of this scope, we stay away from projections or forecasts. And not to mention, I am extremely superstitious:) But I will say that our current schedule is very exciting!!

The training center hard-scapes have begun and will be complete next week.

The clubhouse renovation continues as well. The kitchen is nearing completion and the interior of the clubhouse is prepped and ready for carpet, paint, etc.

Kinloch Golf Club Enhancement Project - Week 9 Update

Thanks for all of your support as we are very excited about this project and the product we will offer this coming fall!!!

This is the 9th Week Update!! Sodding continues, final prep has begun!!!

Since we began sodding on August 19th, we have installed 19.5 acres of new turf-grass. Many thanks to the KGC Team, Landscapes Unlimited and GreenCor. To average an acre per day is incredible and as we wrap up the 11th hole, we are tracking really well towards completion. (Knock on Wood and Fingers Crossed:)

The front nine of the property is now complete and we have begun final preparations on that side of the property. The back nine is motoring as the 10th and 11th holes are nearing completion. Meanwhile, the strip and prep crews are working down the 13th hole, while sodding has begun on the 12th hole.
